Will this be a regular release?

  • No, the December 4th batch will be the last for a while. We’ll announce future batches via social media and our newsletter.

Can you ship beer to my home?

  • Unfortunately not. South Dakota law prohibits us from shipping beer directly to consumers in state and US law prohibits us from shipping beer across state lines.

Do you distribute to my state?

  • Currently we only distribute to South Dakota, Northwest Iowa, Eastern Nebraska, Eastern North Dakota, & Southwest Minnesota. If you’d like to see Fernson products closer to you, ask your favorite local liquor store to carry Fernson!

Was this brewed with Twin Bing candy bars?

  • Nope, this stout is inspired by Twin Bings. We brewed a sweet candy bar stout with malted oats for nuttiness, flaked oats for creaminess, roasted malts, raspberries and cherries, cacao nibs and milk sugar to get a tasty milk chocolate base. We borrowed our finishing touch from the confectionary masters–Madagascar vanilla beans.

I have a nut allergy, is this safe for me to drink?

  • Yes! The nutty flavors present in Twin Bing Stout come from malted oats, not nuts or nut extract.

How did Twin Bing Stout come to be?

  • In late 2018, Fernson Brewing Company and Palmer Candy Company came together to discuss the possibility of a candy bar-inspired beer. Both companies care dearly for quality products, so we knew it wouldn’t be an easy piloting process. Nearly a year and a half later with countless ingredient tests, tastings, and recipe changes, we finalized the recipe and released the first batch on April 10, 2020.
